Legislators better head back to the drawing board if they know what is good for them. 

While we are in the launch phase we could think of nothing better as our first article than to deal with the subject of SOPA/PIPA/ and the NDAA that are just screaming liberty devastation and censorship and it is just not going to be tolerated in America!  No one wants to see piricay but if you can’t put it in plain english and in 3 pages or less you need to STOP and go back to the drawing board. Then with NDAA, our enemy has not even been defined by congress as to whom we are fighting, and our vice -president states it is not the Taliban.

Until Americans can review any pending legislation openly for weeks for concensus… we will fight tooth and nail any legislation proposed to censor anyone or arrest anyone indefinately.  This is a united front with left, right and even the no mans land of the mushy middle who have not a clue what they believe.  It is for sure America is not going to allow the most dis-trusted administration in US history, with their never ending list of Czars, to decide what is piracy and what is not, who the enemy is and is not and enact such sweeping legislation.  You want to protect an IP??, huh??  Get that legislation to 3 pages or less in plain english!  Can you define who our enemy is??  Well the American citizen is awaitig the answer to that question.  No if’s ands or but’s about it, these bills are vague!

Of course we will all hear that SOPA is dead, or PIPA is dead, or this is dead or that is dead…but in the world of legislation especially concerning this anti-American legislation and this anti-American administration nothing is ever really dead.  Lamar Smith may have been a republican but he has some qualaties that make me think possibly not.  His willfull atempt to bomb the American public with this legislation is distrubing to say the least.

Therefore, many of the images seen in this post are from various sides of the fence.  I am proud to say everyone got in on the act, from gamers to social networkers and even WordPress who rarely makes a peep politically.  You can be assured Right On Weekly will continue to monitor the events and assure our public if “dead” means dead or it is just monentarily removed from the public view.  If it is the former and not the later truly we will up date this article. HERE!

However Lamar Smith seems to be determined and tied to somones deep pockets as it is reported no more than six hours ago that he is committed to moving forward with these measures.  All three SOPA/PIPA ad NDAA will have to be watced closely.  Remember, the path to hell was paved with good intentions.

We can STOP Piracy

We take the stand that we do not want to see piracy continue at the rate that it has.  Hollywood is a “producer” and as part of the American economy is rightful complaintat on issues of any piracy taking place.  However with complaining comes responsibility, fairness and being forthright about any measure such as this.  If you desire public aceptance of such measure then be upfront with the legislation.  We should not hear about it by rumor.  I am not sure I want Hollywood designing any legislation in the first place.  However, we can address thir complaints through legislation that is fair to all, and ot overbearing as in such places as China.  But do not sneak attack the American public, and through a Soviet-Chineese inspired legislation event and thik that you can get away with it.  Because it is just not going to happen.  Well intended or not, if your are for or against SOPA/ PIPA/ and NDAA the real fact is that these measures are sweeping legislation amimed and targeted directly at some and not others.  One thing is for sure, if it was your information that was shut down than you can’t fight it very well, can you?  It will take all of us during this time of upheaval to come to terms with what really eeds to be done and what does not.  What regulations are harmful to business and those necessary to ensure the financial safety of the ation AND individuals.  One thing is for sure, this current presidential administration has not hit it right yet.  The only thing they know is force and cramming of legislation down the throats of the citizens.

On NDAA it is still unfortunate that congress has not clearly defined who the “enemy” is in this world of terrorsim and the war on it.  Time after time they have failed to clearly difine who we are fighting.  Untill such time, they will include American citizens one day, the TEA party the next day and in the same breat claim we are not fighting the Taliban. This concerns every citizen and the push should be on for our congress to clearly define the enemy aytime ‘war” is declared on anyone or anything!

Let’s all work to ensure America remains a free nation of individuals who will use common sense, common courtesy, and concern for others while exercising personal responsibility under our current laws the Constitution of the United States of America.  Without America there is no free world and there is no place left to run.  So lets get it all RIGHT the first time !

Meanwhile .. back in America, on any given day, and any given street citizens who have worked hard their whole lives continue to await effective leadership.  We must work together to ensure that leadership arrives in 2012 by a staunch bulldog fiscal conservative congress in both the house and senate to ensure a president never again gets the idea that he is a dictator and can envelope those as Lamar Smith to craft such wide sweeping legislation.

Can Rick Santorum please explain to the American public why he wishes to ‘deregulate’ with more regulation by stomping around the country for SOPA?? …on the side with Debbie Wasserman Schultz??
